Gotthard Base Tunnel

The project scope of work includes the detailed technical specification for the power supply systems of the new Gotthard Base Tunnel line. This technical specification is the basis for:

• The budget costing of capital expenditure on power equipment
• The validation of the project programme
• The issue of call for tender technical documentation for the power equipment

The contract includes concept, rating, and design of the overhead line circuitry in the tunnel and on the access lines, switchgears, earthing and control systems. The rating of the power equipment was carried out by means of simulation software programs FABEL and SIMNET.

A key project activity is the management of project technical stakeholders such as project engineers from other disciplines (e.g. mechanical, signalling) and the civil engineering contractors.

The contract is being carried out in partnership with Paul Keller Ingenieurbüro AG, in the consortium GoTTrazione.
