Safety case for the AVE S102 (Talgo 350) - high speed trains, Bombardier-Talgo consortium:

Patentes Talgo SA (Talgo) and Bombardier Transportation (BT) formed a consortium for the construction of the new high speed trains for operation on the existing and the new high speed lines in Spain. The new train must comply with European safety norms and technical specifications for interoperability of the high speed lines (TSIs). The consortium contracted ENOTRAC for the management of the train safety case and to carry out the following detailed studies:

• Safety plans for the entire train, power heads and carriages
• Hazard analysis and hazard management (hazard log)
• Detailed studies for brakes and safety installations, fire protection
• Quantitative fault tree analyses
• Integration of ETCS Level 1 on the power heads
• Presentation of the demonstration of compliance to the relevant experts and authorities
