Expansion in the UK has created an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer (Railway Systems) to enhance our capabilities mainly in the areas of power supply and rolling stock.
As a high calibre graduate with several years' relevant experience, you will have a sound appreciation of the fundamentals and good problem-solving skills, combined with an awareness of the system-level issues in traction systems. Experience in traction/signalling compatibility and the safety case regime would be an asset.
You should be just as comfortable with hands-on involvement in client projects as with the use of leading-edge software tools. Self-motivated to work alone or as a team player, often in a multi-national setting, you should have excellent communication and reporting skills. Tenacious and results-oriented, you will thrive on the variety of challenging projects using the latest technologies. International travel will be involved.
A working knowledge of a European language would be an advantage, as would be membership of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
